Rome – 24 February

We spent two beautiful days exploring Rome,
eating food that exists only in Italy—
the kind that brings tears to your eyes
because you wonder, is this what heaven tastes like?

I’m sorry I ever thought Italian food was overrated.
There is no such thing.
It is simply the best thing on earth.
Done well. Done simply. Done magnificently.

Now, I sit alone in Rome,
hours passing as I write at my table,
pausing only for coffee or a glass of wine.
